DZ9000T Digital Ultra Torque Surface  Bulletins

Horizon and JR take your modeling satisfaction very seriously. Although there are thousands of JR 8611A, 9000T, and 9000S servos on the market being used with great success, we are concerned that a number of these servos sold between May 1, 2006 and August 31, 2006 have faulty motors. While performance of these servos is not impaired under normal use, under extreme loads and heat the motor may fail.

We want to ensure that our customers have the highest confidence in their JR radio equipment. If you have purchased any JR 8611A, 9000T or 9000S servos between May 1, 2006 and August 31, 2006 we ask that you inspect your servos by performing the following test:

8611A, 9000T/S Motor Test
(Perform with no power to the servo and disconnected from linkage)

Action – With a control arm attached to the servo, rotate the servo output shaft both directions through its entire range of motion.

Result – Servo should move smoothly through its entire range without binding or resistance.

If you feel any resistance or binding in one direction, please complete the attached Return Form and send your servos to our Service Center for inspection. Defective servos will be repaired or replaced and returned to you as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please contact our Product Support Team at 1-877-504-0233, Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm CST.

We appreciate your support of JR and apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

8ight drives are just about up and running.  The King Heads brace is a fix to the throttle servo with a couple other mods.  And we haven't had one go down yet.  The only other problem is the Clutch shoes.  The King Heads 7075 shoes are the fix for the old shoes but, but to get them installed if your fly wheel is still salvageable the screw sets are on back order and fly wheel is on back ordered.
