Donnie,
The laser etched lines allow you to make sure that your engine/clutch bell is mounted at a perfect 90 deg. angle to the spur gear. This will allow the gears and clutch bell bearings to last longer.

It allows perfect parallel alignment of the clutchbell and center diff gear by providing a visual reference. I've seen many people with blown clutchbells, ctr diff gears and/or clutch bearings due to slight misalignment of the engine in reference to the ctr diff. The etching on the new chassis provides an easy to see visual reference for perfect perpendicular engine alignment thereby guaranteeing the clutchbell and ctr diff gear are parallel and making backlash setting much easier.

Thanks for the info gents.  Does the lines work with the King Headz quick change motor mounts?

I don't see any reason they wouldn't. The losi quick change works with both the old and the new.

It looks like the L8ight has the new 2.0 radio tray. To me it looks almost the exact same as the one in my 8T except for screws holding the battery cover. Am I correct? It also looks like they bolt to the chassis the same. In other words, can you take the 2.0 tray and put it in the 1.0 or the 8T. It sure looks like you can. Thanks

Looks the same but it isn't. I just tried to put the new tray in the 8T and will not work without some modification. Sucks.
