Is there are reason why there are state races at 2 sites in 2 days?  I am very happy to see Jtec get some races this year along with a few other tracks.  Why have the number of races doubled or trippled.  This should really help club racing Angry

What is the format for these races? How many do you have to attend and what is the qualifying races and 2 different finals?
Why not just use the same format all the other states use for the state series?

Looks like the Round 3 Midwest nitro series race at Jtec conflicts with the RC Pro Series race at Leisure Hours on Jun 20th..

I guess I am just confused why you have tons of dates.  Of course a race somewhere is going to conflict with a race at a different place, you guys have scheduled 14 races.  Why not 1 race at each track and then a finals race somewhere.  I guess I am going to be club racing the Illinois State Pro Series.

Looks to me like they are trying to cut the Illinois State series into 2 regions North & South for economic reasons my guess, then have 1 Final...

I am curious as to what the entry fee is for these races.  Its brilliant planning.  They have 2 northern division races on the same weekend.   I am not sure of any other state that is broken down like this except for maybe Texas.  Illinois aint that big, get out of bed an extra hour early and you could be anywhere in the state within a few hours.

That link just shows the points break down for each race.
It would be nice to know how many of the 14 races you score points in and how many you can drop.

Troy i can research this just as you can, i was looking on the rc pro series website and saw the illinois state race schedule which i saw jtec was on the schedule and thought i would post the 2009 schedule for illinois (here on the forum) that they released. I looked and all the answers are on the rules section. Grin

Troy I looked it up and it looks to me a person would have to run atleast 1 illinois state regional event to be elegible to race the regional qualifier then that person would be elegible for the Illinois state final. For example... In my case the way i see it i could run the Illinois State Race @ Jtec in Tilton, Ill. on May 24th since it is my home track then i would be elegible to race in the REGIONAL QUALIFIER @ Leisure Hours Aug 8th since it is closer for me, Then i would be elegible for the Illinois State Final @ Jtec on Aug 28th - Aug 30th. Since i don't care about running for the points. Grin

Cool thanks!! I was curious if they were expecting someone to make 6 or 8 of these races to score points in.
